Capital Crossing Bank
Formerly known as Atlantic Bank and Trust, this bank needed a name that more accurately reflected its new and dynamic approach to banking and online commerce. At the same time they did not want to lose the stability and dependability of their old name.
Our solution came from coupling a keyword in finance, Capital, with an active concept from outside the banking world. Crossing came from thinking about places where commerce happens. Through history, intersections became markets, markets became towns, towns grew into major commercial centers.
However, the word intersection was too static, so we searched for verbs and verb forms until we found an ideal match in the word Crossing. The final solution Capital Crossing was alliterative, easy to say, easy to remember, and both active and stable.
